I ported over my number from Primus Canada to Freephoneline.ca. I am able to download and use my number with the Freephoneline Desktop App on my Laptop, but I can't find the Android Version. The only thing I can find is this Fongo App.
When I try to login to the Fongo App... It says that I don't have an account or something like that... What do I do in this situation? How else can I use my number other than on my laptop?
Also, side question... If I don't use my Ported Over Number for X Amount of Time... Is there a possibility of losing it similar to the numbers issued by Freephoneline and Fongo?
Thanks
Use my ported over number with Desktop App and Android App

There is no Android version of the FPL desktop app.xtos77 wrote:I ported over my number from Primus Canada to Freephoneline.ca. I am able to download and use my number with the Freephoneline Desktop App on my Laptop, but I can't find the Android Version.
You can use “Follow Me” to forward incoming calls to another number in any province for free instead, if you wish, but no Android version of FPL’s desktop app exists: https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/en- ... Follow-Me-. However, you would not be able to make outgoing calls using your FPL number from the forwarded endpoint.
You don’t. Freephoneline accounts are not Fongo Mobile accounts. The only thing I can find is this Fongo App.
When I try to login to the Fongo App... It says that I don't have an account or something like that...
Visit https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/arti ... ne-number-.
Fongo Mobile and Freephoneline are treated as separate services and don’t allow any phone number to be used simultaneously between those respective accounts.
You can port your FPL number to Fongo Mobile, but doing so will automatically close your FPL account (and if you purchased a VoIP unlock key and World Credits, you will lose them): https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/en- ... Home-Phone.
Also visit https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/en- ... er-carrier.
If you purchase a Freephoneline VoIP unlock key for $99.95+tax, you can use your Freephoneline account on an ATA, IP Phone, or SIP app, such as Acrobits Groundwire (for example) for Android devices. Note that only one registration is permitted at any time per FPL account. What do I do in this situation? How else can I use my number other than on my laptop?
When there are multiple devices/softphones/Lines (on an ATA) using the same FPL account, only the most recent registration is valid. The previously registered device (or Android device, in this case) will lose registration, and, consequently, incoming calls will not ring on it. This is especially important to consider if someone else is using your SIP credentials (username and password) that are found after logging in at https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings or if you're trying to register your FPL account with a smartphone SIP app (or FPL desktop app), with another device, or more than one ATA line. Registration is required for incoming calls. It is not required for outgoing calls. Only one registration per FPL account is allowed at any time. A single line on an ATA is one registration. A SIP app is another.
Also, too many registration attempts within a short interval from the same FPL account can lead to temporary IP bans.
"As May 2013, our servers will rate limit REGISTER requests to a maximum of 10 requests per 5 minutes. Each authentication round usually consumes 2 requests (digest auth), so it is a fair number given our guidelines. Also, it does not affect INVITES (which are also authenticated)...
This rate limit is applied per IP address as our service is tailored to residential Canadian users (ADSL/Cable)."
No. Visit https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/en- ... t-deleted-.Also, side question... If I don't use my Ported Over Number for X Amount of Time... Is there a possibility of losing it similar to the numbers issued by Freephoneline and Fongo?
Please do not send me emails; I do not work for nor represent Freephoneline or Fongo. Post questions on the forums so that others may learn from responses or assist you. Thank you.
