Greetings;
I got my Sip settings on the 4th(Sep) but regardless of all my efforts via different
computers, routers and softphone, I haven't been able to register and use my FPL.
For the first 2 days the system said "this password is not valid"! but since sunday
afternoon the system says "this account is not valid"!!
My settings:
Rogers "ultra High speed" broadband.
Pap2 Router (unlocked), obviously!
MacBook
iphone 3G
Also tried with a PC and Dlink Router
Via the Router no registration, no Dial Tone.
Via various softphone including FPL's the system says the above mentioned messages.
Sent an Email to Support but have not heard since.
Any input, idea would be much appreciated.
B. Regards,
Sam

Re: CONNECTION TROUBLES !!
Hm, my suggestions so far:
1) Reset the device to factory default settings. If it wasn't bought from us, it could be on some weird settings that are conflicting
2) Enter your information exactly as provided to you on the SIP settings page. If you are unsure of where, then email admin@freephoneline.ca and ask him for the setup guide for the PAP2
3) Make sure the dial-string is correct
4) Make sure ports 5060 and 5061 are forwarded from your router to your ATA. The ATA has a dynamic IP so if you turn it off you will need to reforward accordingly.
Try those suggestions and report back

Re: CONNECTION TROUBLES !!
Thank you for your reply.
1) First thing I did before the first attempt
2) I used the provided info as well as using a guide from this forum
3) I entered the DP that was sent to me from FPL
4) I had had done that with the addition of 13000 & 13001
a) My ATA is my Router (2 lines). Can U elaborate on that, please.
Thanks again
PS= The Router/ATA is my own. Linksys WRTP54G / 2 phone ports.
