Obihai. Where to buy

Post by callopsitte_himself »

Anybody can tell me where to buy the Obihai adapter in Canada? I've only seen it on Amazon.com but doubt they will ship it here and if they do how much is shipping fee and do we also have a custom fee to pay (and how much $$)? Thanks.

I think you need an Amerifriend unless you want to pay through the nose with Ebay.

I do not have a desire as much for the Obihai any more now that I found a SIP gateway for Google Voice. http://www.sipbri.com gets you some SIP goodness for your Google Voice account.

Anyone willing to run their own asterisk server can connect it to Google Voice. The G-Voice connect module is built into the 1.8 version of Asterisk.

Knowing this, there's probably some online SIP Switching sites that can also support a G-Voice account, do some hunting. If you come up snake-eyes, let me know and I'll see if I can find anything.

Worst case scenario, I get some incentive to set-up my home asterisk box :P
