Change in rates

Post by TheHardy »

Just recently (within the week) noticed that LD rates to the USA (most destinations) are now down to $0.02/min (with the exceptions of AK/HI and a few other selected more specific destinations). Previous rate was $0.03 for most USA destinations.

Glad to see the prices falling in line a little more, but would love to see the CONNECTION FEE adjust for North American calling to be a little less pricy.

Wonder what is on the horizon with FonGo ... still no action/information popping out there.

We are always looking for new and better way's to lower our (already low) prices and improve on the quality of the service we provide. (not easy to make large fast steps when offering a free service)

Hardy, i think you will happy with Fongo when we unveil it to the general public :)

I'm sure we will all be happy with Fongo as long as it doesn't starting costing us anything :D

I would say that most are happy with FPL, so I don't see why it would change.

I know a little of what is on the go for FonGo, although there is much I do not know of ... I can only hope that the tip of the iceberg I have seen is representative of what is hiding beneath the waves ...

That said, there are a few rough edges that I hope are hewn before launch ... and, just to make the case again, I hope an updated MORE FUNCTIONAL softphone is part of the plan too! ;-)

Oh come on ... give us a small sampler ... there is ONLY 1 more day left before we get to make fun of the failure to launch! ;-) Ooooops, should I have been that cynical? I _know_ it is coming, and I know SOME of it ... I am anxious to rip the wrapping off and see what else is there too tho! Any teaser that we can pry out of you?? Other than lower US rates, and new pending POP's/DID's .... ?????

Nice to know ... I have, however, stopped holding my breath, as it has become apparent that the Jan/12 launch will be missed ...

What about the rate to Asia, i.e. China?

I see Dell Voice charges 2 cents calling China, while FPL charges 3 cents. Is it going to be changed?

Edit: I just found out it's 2 cents calling to China; however, 4 cents connection fee is still annoying.

How come I cannot log in Dell Voice with my FPL numbers? Aren't you afraid of running out of number resources by letting people apply for extra numbers which are basically run by the same company - Fongo?

Interesting...

The different 'skins' of FPL are all kept on different databases, so you can't log in with one from another site. The main reason being that these 'skins' want you to see their advertising, which I assume they pay for, whenever you use their phone.

There are quite a few places that use the same pool of numbers that FPL dish out. MagickJack being one of them I believe. I wouldn't worry about them running out, they will just buy in a new batch of numbers. I'm sure the whole system is fully scalable.

I need Blackberry client from either FPL or Dell Voice. My carrier really sucks in my office. It barely has reception once I enter the building.

Fongo, show your love to blackberriers, please!!!
