I can receive call but can't send ?

Post by tnt »

Anybody can give me a hint ? i can receive call but i can't send call. When i open my phone and start dialing i immediately ear the occupied bip and after a couple of second i ear some faster bip...

I have a wrt610n linksys router and in the port routing section, i have 2 range 10000-20000 UDP with my ATA IP and 5060-6064 UDP with my ATA IP.

i called the helpdesk and they told me i have to open port in my router, thats what i did like i said up there. Any more help ?

By the way, with the freephone software on my computer everything work fine, i can receive and send call. I am not sure but i dont think it's a port problem...

thanks

If I understand you correctly, you're getting fast busy tones right?

This sounds like it's with FPL that's having the problem. Support might be the best option here.

I called the support and they told me i have to open port in my router, but it's already done.

I will call them again. thank you curriegrad.

I called the support and they told me, i have problem with my router........... I have a question that they can't answer, why everything work fine with the FPL softphone ? If i had a problem with my router the softphone would'nt work. Still can't send call with my home phone but i can receive call. I am always getting the fastbusy tone when i open my homephone. any idea ?

No issues here, especially those that would cause fast busy tones.

You said that you are getting these fast busy tones when you 'open' your phone, may I assume this means it is happening when you pick it up to make a call?

What is your 'Display Name' in your device?

In the status page of your ATA, does it say that your line is "Registered" ?

It is most definitely your adapters problem, did you make any changes to your dial string? - By the way, what device model do you have?
