Can I fax with freephoneline?

It's possible through our SIP server, ATA and fax machine permitting, but it is not a supported feature. Ie. we will provide no direct assistance, troubleshooting or support for it.

Hello. It works but you may have to adjust the speed of your fax machine and set it slower. Some machines are auto-sensing and try to run at 33K, but some machines can be manually set to operate at up to a specific speed. 9600baud is fine for faxing. Also, some machines have line sensitivity and/or line noise/error correction modes that you'll have to play with to get it to fax out properly. Faxing in should be okay until the call-waiting kicks-in and then the incoming fax goes to your voicemail.

FYI, the fax to email no longer works. From what they mentioned FPL removed this feature.

We've never mentioned removing it
But since it was never a supported feature of the service, we've also never officially mentioned having it either.

I can tell you freephoneline supports fax.. I've used it with my fax machine/all in one for a while without issues.
