No connection to the server problem

Post by stevew »

I just installed the desktop phone and registered. there is a "No connection to the server" problem, i can't dial any numbers.

I already setup the UDP 13000, 13001, 6060, 6061, 5060, 5061 on my router and firewall. and restarted the desktop phone many time. still same problem.

By the way, my router is Linksys WRT54GL.

Anyone can give me any suggestions what's going on for it? Thanks a lot.

By setup do you mean forwarded them to the IP of the ATA/VoIP Gateway?

What modem and ISP are you with. For example, a Bell 2Wire modem acts also like a router and would need to have the ports open as well.

So you set an exception in the 2wire for the application, or for the exact ports? Might be worth a shot to try the exact ports; 13000/13001
