No connection to the server problem
No connection to the server problem
I just installed the desktop phone and registered. there is a "No connection to the server" problem, i can't dial any numbers.
I already setup the UDP 13000, 13001, 6060, 6061, 5060, 5061 on my router and firewall. and restarted the desktop phone many time. still same problem.
By the way, my router is Linksys WRT54GL.
Anyone can give me any suggestions what's going on for it? Thanks a lot.

Re: No connection to the server problem
By setup do you mean forwarded them to the IP of the ATA/VoIP Gateway?

Re: No connection to the server problem
What modem and ISP are you with. For example, a Bell 2Wire modem acts also like a router and would need to have the ports open as well.

Re: No connection to the server problem
So you set an exception in the 2wire for the application, or for the exact ports? Might be worth a shot to try the exact ports; 13000/13001stevew wrote:i am using 2wire2700hg-b modem and teksavvy. i tried open the port for the PC installed the freephone desktop in 2wire's firewall, but still same problem. anything else need to do? thanks.Krazie243 wrote:What modem and ISP are you with. the exact ports. but i think the 2wire just doing the modem job here instead of router.
