How to reset the voice mail indicator?

I currently have no voicemail in the system, yet my light keeps flashing on my phone indication that I have voicemail. I reset router, PAP-2T, etc .. and still flashes.
If I set User 1 - Supplementary Service Settings -Message Waiting to no the light goes out. As soon I switch back to yes, it comes back on.
If I leave it off - when I get a voicemail the phone doesn't flash.
Any ideas?

+1 I'm having the same issue.


Had a VM yesterday, cleared it, for some reason my PAP2t still thinks there's a message waiting.
I got tired of lights flashing on my phone so I turned off MWI & VMWI on the ATA.

MIne has since cleared - though I didn't do anything to clear it.

+1, just checked my ATA and the msg waiting flag has finally cleared.

this issue crept back up on me.
I ended up just going into user1 on my pap and setting message waiting to no.

I have experienced the same issue for the past few months too. The message waiting indicator remains on even though I have deleted all the voicemail messages (confirmed in the online portal).

Uh oh. Me as well. MWI won't turn off and I've listened to all my messages like two days ago!
