Port 13000 Issues

Post by jrienas »

Hi there,

I have searched for previous posts on this topic but none of the suggested solutions have worked for me.

When I sign on, it connects to FPL immediately but when I make outgoing calls, I hear no voice transmission on my computer (currently using the softphone only). The receipient can hear me but not the other way.

When I phone my FPL number from another number, all I get is either 1) immediate voicemail or 2) a fast busy signal.

I have a LinkSys Wireless G WRT54G router setup as follows.

Under Port Forwarding- App Name: freephonelin
Port Range Start: 13000
Port Range End: 13001
Protocol: UDP
IP: 192.168.1.103
Enable

Windows Firewall is set up similarly to allow the exceptions. No other potentially blocking software.

Any help you could offer would be great!

Further to my earlier post, the wireless router is connected to a Linksys 10/100 5-Port Workgroup Switch. When I plug an ethernet cable in directly to the switch, everything works fine but as soon as I switch back to the wireless connection, it stops working and goes back to the one-way voice issues outlined above.

Are you turning off the PAP2T in between these events? It will get a new IP from the router everytime, which can cause problems if you've forwarded to the old IP. There's a way to turn DHCP off and set it with a static IP, but I haven't had to do this myself yet so I'm not the best guy to ask about it.
