dialing long thru local access number

Post by davec2861 »

I am having a problem when dialing long distance. I use worldline and dial a local access number. This part works fine. However when I dail the 2nd number, I hear the touch tones but worldline doesn't appear to receive them. If I use the same phone on my bell line there is no problem. I am wondering where the problem is. I am using a Linksys SP 2102 with my Freephoneline number.

Any ideas?

Chances are it is your DTMF tones.

I don't have a 2102 so I can't say where the setting is, but have a poke around in the ATA and find the DTMF tones setting and try a different type.

Check through any and all settings for anything that relates to TOUCH TONES or DTMF tones. Note what your current settings are, change to something else, try the call again, see what happens. Note which settings work and which don't. The settings may be different for various numbers, depending on what types of systems you are calling that require TT-input.

Sorry I cannot be more specific, but I am not familiar with the hardware that you have.

I tried the 2 different settings and it made no difference. It seems to work on other places just not Worldline.

I've used Worldline with a PAP2T using our recommended config (from the configuration sharing section). The two are fairly similar devices - have you checked your config against ours for the PAP2T?

Unfortunatelly, I have the same problem. I am using Grandstream 287 with the Freephoneline number. No problem dialing my long distance company's access number, but after that when I dial the destination number there is a problem. Also, no problem dialing my credit card company telephone number. But when I am prompted to enter my credit card number something goes wrong.
Have you solved your problem? Any solution?
