No audio out on phone
No audio out on phone
Hi
I have recently confirgured my zoom X6v ata. I thought I had things working but I actually don't have any audio out. Hoever, I can hear people when they answer, so the phone is dialing. Also I can't check my voice mail using *98, it just gives me a busy signal. Anyone know how what I screwed up?

Re: No audio out on phone
Sounds like a) Your router is blocking the ATA and 2) There isn't DTMF on the phone, check your phone as well as the ATA and make sure it's set to Tone, not pulse, on the phone. Also make sure the ATA has "DTMF" set to "InBand" or "Tone" as well.

Thanks admin
that fixed my audio out problem, but I still can't use *98 to get to voicemail. Anything else I can try?

Does it just not pick it up? The *98 I mean.

Re: No audio out on phone
I have a zoom x6v and i tried to follow the user guide recently posted on the forum to set it up. There were however some settings in "my SIP settings" that I could not find an appropriate home for on my device setup screens.
For example I'm not sure where I would enter the
RTP Packet Size
Ring Tone Frequency:
Ring Tone Voltage:
Recommended Dial String
also the Preferred Codec in my SIP settings is not available from my device. My setting say to use G729a whereas the closest match that I have available to me is G729b.

Re: No audio out on phone
That is okay, some ATA use different names for their settings. If it works, I would suggest leaving it
