Your SIP Password is provided after the purchase of our configuration file, providing you with everything you need to configure your ATA.

The config file is basically them setting up your account so you can use something other than the softphone. They will email you the details for setting up your ATA and these details will also be in your admin panel when you log into FPL.

My 2 cents... it is VERY worth the $50 admin fee (config file) to get the ATA working. I cancelled my Bell line a week later.

Hello, I've got two questions regarding this:

1- Does the info/password on the config file for one FPL number work on the ATA if I were to get a second FPL number (and use the line 1 password on line 2)?

2- And would I be able to use it to work on a hardware-SIP cell phone (or software SIP on a cell like Nimbuzz, Fring, etc.)?

THanks

1. SIP password is unique to each account - you'll need an individual config file for each number you wish to use with an ATA.

2. Hardware SIP cell phones will work, but we provide no configuration assistance. I know lots of people use our settings with their Nokia phones. Software SIP will also work, I was actually just using X-Lite over the weekend when I was out of town and I was able to call just fine through my FPL.
