FPL ATA settings / trial / area change / porting

Post by thegradas »

Hello,

I have a few questions re. the VoIP service you offer:

1. Are the SIP settings for the Linksys SPA-3102 ATA available?
2. If I buy the $50 config file, would you consider a 3 to 7 day trial period for testing purposes with the ATA? The softphone does not offer a good quality service although I have an excellent internet connection.
3. If I change the area of residency in the next few months, would I be able to get a new number + config file for free?
4. I already subscribed with FPL and got a K-W # 519-xxx-xxxx. My old number is a Canadian K-W VoIP number with an US VoIP provider. Would that # be portable?

Thank you in advance.

Currently we just do not have the time to make one up. The Linksys PAP2 and 2102 however are very similar.

2. If I buy the $50 config file, would you consider a 3 to 7 day trial period for testing purposes with the ATA? The softphone does not offer a good quality service although I have an excellent internet connection.
Not sure what you are asking... A refundable 3 - 7 day trial period? You already own the ATA so the trial would be pointless.

3. If I change the area of residency in the next few months, would I be able to get a new number + config file for free?
No, unfortunately you would need to purchase a new number for that area code.

4. I already subscribed with FPL and got a K-W # 519-xxx-xxxx. My old number is a Canadian K-W VoIP number with an US VoIP provider. Would that # be portable?
If it was truely a Canadian number than yes it would be.
