name display

i have a question, usually if i have an ATA, my name written under "Display Name" appear at the called destination, but when i tried to call another FPL softphone, it do not display the name in the ATA, it appears the name in the FPL account, then i tried to change the name in my account (from my wife name to my name), but the sofphone still display the old name, seems like the changed details was not updated.

my questions in summary

1- why when calling a softphone, the name in the ATA is not displayed
2- how to update the name

how can u display the name in ATA when calling from a softphone.

although u have a option of giving a name in the softphone. click on menu-->settings
once u set the option, it will display name only for calls to voip providers & not for pstn lines.

Is number your are calling FROM saved in the softphone phone book with a name? If so, that would explain why it always shows the same name.
