I don't recall seeing your post until today. I had the exact same Hitron garbage that you had at one point. I always use my own router; I never rely on anything an ISP gives me. However, I did test with just the CGN3 by itself, and it worked fine with the settings I used in the guide with voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060, except that I couldn't adjust the UDP timeout settings that I wanted to adjust. Consequently, I would expect registration every once in awhile to potentially fail (possibly after a power outage). It's easy enough to reboot the CGN3, wait for it to be up and running, and then reboot the OBi202. Regardless, it is advisable to buy your own router for VoIP purposes. Newer Asus routers that are supported by Asuswrt-Merlin work well using Merlin firmware:

I would try factory resetting your ATA and reconfiguring it.
When the problem occurs I would recommend checking the registration status of FPL in the ATA by
a) dialing ***1
b) Entering the IP address you're told into a web browser
c) navigating to Status>>>System Status>>>SP(FPL) Service Status
If FPL isn't registered there, you're going to have problems.
2. 1. Are you able to dial **9 222-222-222 to reach the Echo Test Server? If not, your problem has nothing to do with FPL.
3. Are you using Google Voice? If not, I recommend not using Obitalk.com to configure your ATA. If you're not using GV, reset your ATA to factory defaults, delete your ATA from Obitalk.com (Remove the OBi From the OBiTALK Web Portal
(a Sign in to
http://www.obitalk.com and select the device you are going to remove from the OBi Dashboard.
b. Select the "Delete Device" button located on the right side of the screen. You will be prompted to confirm. Click "OK".
c. After a few seconds, you will see a message stating, "The device was deleted successfully."), follow the PDF guide I linked earlier, and don't use Obitalk.com at all.
d. Factory reset your ATA:
https://www.obitalk.com/info/faq/Troubl ... tory-Reset 4. If you insist on using the Obitalk web portal (
http://www.obitalk.com) to configure your ATA, keep in mind that you must continue using it to configure your ATA. Otherwise whatever settings you change will eventually be overwritten by what you previously entered at obitalk.com anyway. If you wish to disable this behaviour, dial ***1. Enter that IP address into a web browser. Navigate to System Management-->OBiTalk Provisioning-->select Disabled for the method. Save. Reboot ATA. Now obitalk.com won't overwrite whatever changes you make via the device's interface (via IP address).
Pick one method (obitalk.com) or the other (IP address of device) for changing device settings. But do not use both methods.5. If you're going to use Obitalk.com (which I do NOT recommend using if you're not using Google Voice), you need to use the expert menu.
Take a look at this picture for reference:
http://i.imgur.com/xwyqgRE.jpgThat grey cog wheel with the "E" is for the expert configuration menu.
It shows when logging in at
http://www.obitalk.com, selecting "Edit Profile" on the left, then scrolling down
under "Advanced Options" and finally selecting "Enable OBi Expert Entry from Dashboard."
Again, do not use both Obitalk.com and the IP address of the device for configuring your ATA. Choose one method or the other. If you're going to use the IP address of the device, ensure that Obitalk Provisioning is disabled in the ATA first (found in the ATA under System Management-->Auto Provisioning)
6. Follow the .pdf guide located at
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18805#p74310, but only use voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 when you get to step 6c. on page 14. Pay close attention to the Keep Alive settings mentioned in the guide. Follow the guide step by step.
