Please Help me !!!

I used a PAP for 3 years without problems by freephoneline. Now the line began to interrupt so I bought another PAP and I have the same problem, it works 1 hour, 1 hour does not work....
What can I do?
The PAP is new !!
Also I changed the modem / router :(
I tried to contact freephoneline and they don't answer. Probably they haven't support. :(

Linksys PAP2T-NA

Postby gogu392 » 02/02/2013

Is first time when I setup my Voip phone. I did spent 6 hours but is done and works.
Very importnat for a newbie is to read carelfully the senting and have the Firewall/Router and PAP device setup properly.
The ATA has a real time status, that helps. Any setings mater. All of them have to be setup carefully.
Now I have the ATA in DMZ, my goal is to have it behind firewall using QoS.
Is just a fine tune up. But with care I will have it done.
Good luck to all of you, read carfully the instructions, do not rush, take your time.

In your PAP Web interface check what is the status of registration.
It can be you router, the IP assigned etc.
PAP web interface (admin) is very usefull to diagonse your issues.

Hi There,

I am not able to make calls to 311 number (city of Toronto).
The regular calls works.
I suspect that this is related with the DIal plan string set.
Can some one give a hint in this matter?
Thx,

This thread should give you more information, but basically 311 is not really supported by Fongo (AFAIK)

...
ok I have SINGTEL from Bell router/combo.
In Edit Firewall Settings i have:
,,Allow all applications (DMZplus mode) – Set the selected computer in DMZplus mode. All inbound traffic, except traffic which has been specifically assigned to another computer using the “Allow individual applications” feature, will automatically be directed to this computer. The DMZplus-enabled computer is less secure because all unassigned firewall ports are opened for that computer.,,

i switched from pap2t to the obihai i got from amazon, its so much better. with the pap2t, i would get random beeps when i pick up the phone even though i have no messages, lose connections and frustrations when i lost connection... with obihai, i never had those head aches. And if your skilled enough, you could even install google voice on it, i use it as my second line. (very difficult to install google voice on this device cause it only works for american numbers, but there are ways around this)

How many users have working incoming calls with Pap2t using FPL account?

Thanks.

Would you please share your settings for it?

I have done Port Fwd. for 5060/5061 and 10000/20000. It's been down since Last December. I use Netgear router, any specific configuration did you do for router set up! Did you do any changes to Acanac's firewall?

Thanks.

It is a little complicated for now (I have to go somewhere and do something in order to see the configuration), BUT, to me ports 10000/20000 are no good.
Also it works OK with my Speedtouch 780WL Gateway, but with my 2Wire Gateway I have a problem ...

It's ok ... try to share your settings for Pap2t whenever you have time.

I will try to contact FPL and see if I have to reset my SIP settings and get new password and stuff from them. I am also bit busy as well that's why didn't contact FPL for these many months. I have no incoming since dec. 2012. Outgoing is fine.

Hi,
I got issue of one-way audio after configuring the PAP2T-NA. The other party can hear me but I can't hear the other party.

I use Acanac DSL internet with Linksys Wireless G WRT45G router. When I connect the PAP2T to DSL modem directly, I got 2-way audio successfully. But has issue if use the router in between.

I have forwrded port SIP 5060-5070 UDP, RTP 10000-20000 UDP, and also tried to put the PAP2T IP address directly under DMZ. But seems has no difference. I can see my RTP packets sent, but can't see any RTP Packes Recv (always 0), which may explain why I can't hear anything incoming. I uses G711u with "Use Pref codec Only"=No. Changing to G729a doesn't seem to make any difference.

I suspect it's the fireware on the router that caused the issue, can anyone suggest how should I configure the router? I have DHCP configuration on the router currently. Thanks.

You could try the following:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... neline.htm
It might help.

I had a crappy Belkin router that up until February worked o.k. for me, but had to disable the firewall to get it to work (still had a firewall on my DSL modem). In February nothing I tried worked... I got tired of troubleshooting and bought a new (used) router last night. plugged it in and everything worked great. (Dlink DIR-857)

With your router, as a last resort, you could also flash the firmware with DD-WRT.

Good luck,

Andude

Thanks Andude! The link you suggested is great!
I unchecked the "block annoymous internet request" under Security of the router and it seems working for me now.
Interesting enough that after that I check the "block annoymous internet request" again and it remained working.
Thanks again!

Hello,

I had a trouble with incoming using FPL since last December.

So, I did factory setting of my device.

Since then I am not able to get 'green' light on Line 1. I have all correct required setting.

On front page of Device setting at 'info' I am getting this message: "Registration State: Can't connect to login server"

Could you help me with this or please tell me name of another ATA that works fine with FPL, so I buy that.

Please help me out.

Thanks.
