Fongo doesn't want to take my money and to solve my problem

Postby khrava » 05/28/2022

Hello, everybody,
Fongo doesn't want to take my money and to solve my problem.

I need to buy SMS on my Fongo World Edition. But it turned out that I cannot do it via Google Play (long story short: because Google Play paused payments):

OK, no problem. I can do it via the website. But it could not log in:

OK, no problem, let's restore the password. But - WTF - it says my account is deactivated:

But my account is active. Check it out:

I wrote several requests to Fongo Support, but they still didn't help me.

Moreover, they give contradictory information. First, they say that I should log in website:

But then they say that they don't have a website for Fong World:

I'm confused.

I asked them 3 simple questions:

1) Please confirm whether my account exists. Because it does. Because I make and receive calls.

2) If it exists, please fix the problem with why I cannot log in to the website.

3) If you cannot fix it, give me a direct link (not via Google Play) to pay for SMS.

From May 18th they cannot fix it and take my money. Very weird.

I hope this Forum will help to wake them up. Thank you!

Two versions of the Fongo Mobile app exist:

1. Fongo Mobile (for Canadians)

2. Fongo Mobile World for everyone else

#1 offers a web portal.

#2 doesn’t according to the response you received.

Fongo support staff is not obligated to read or respond on the forums.
This issue does need to be dealt with via support (as you have been doing): https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

The moderators here don’t work for Fongo, and these are user to user support forums.
Please do not send me emails; I do not work for nor represent Freephoneline or Fongo. Post questions on the forums so that others may learn from responses or assist you. Thank you. If you have an issue with your account or have a billing issue, submit a ticket here: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Visit http://status.fongo.com/ to check FPL/Fongo service status. Freephoneline setup guides can be found at viewforum.php?f=15.

Thank you, Liptonbrisk!
I'm writing here to attract their attention. Because their support gave me weird answers (e.g. if they knew that I have Fongo World and Fongo World doesn't have a web portal, then why did they recommend using a web portal?!).

You're welcome.

Again, Fongo support staff is not obligated to read or respond on the forums, so I suspect that it's unlikely you're attracting them, specifically.
These are user-to-user support forums. The people you are likely to attract are other users. For example, I don't work for Fongo. I'm just another user who happens to be a moderator.

This issue does need to be dealt with via support (as you have been doing): https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
They do not respond to account support requests on the forums (or they haven't in years as far as I can tell), and there's nothing users can do to help you in this matter.

Because their support gave me weird answers (e.g. if they knew that I have Fongo World and Fongo World doesn't have a web portal, then why did they recommend using a web portal?!).

Based on the first message you received on May 23rd, I believe it's unlikely the person who wrote that response was aware you're using Fongo World (and, perhaps, didn't check to confirm).
Whoever responded on May 27th was aware.
