Can't login to Fongo Mobile App on Android

Can't login to Fongo Mobile. Error message I get when I try to login:

"Uh Oh - Please check network connection and try again."

Unable to login using the Fongo Mobile App on Android 10. Was working fine up untill a month ago. I suspect that my mobile provider may be blocking required ports for the app to work, however, I also have a FPL account with an unlock key, so when I use Zoiper to login to my FPL account, everything works fine.

Furthermore, when I connect to my VPN back home, the Fongo Mobile App works, I am able to login and make calls.

So it looks like Orange Mobile is either blocking the ports that Fongo is using, or Fongo is geoblocking to prevent logging into Fongo Mobile App outside of Canada.

Also, looking at rescent reviews for the Fongo Mobile App as well as the Fongo world edition app, there are a number of users experiencing the same or similar issue with being unable to login.

Like I said, my FPL account works fine on the same phone, same mobile provider (Orange).

I've already contacted Orange Mobile and as of yet I have no firm confirmation from them if they are blocking anything that would prevent Fongo Mobile from working.

I'm on Android 10 (August 2020 security update), Pixel 2 XL. Been in Europe for a few months so been using Orange Mobile with no problems until about a month or two ago. I'm using the latest Fongo Mobile App 3.11.2.6 as of this writing (August 8, 2020).

Also tried 3G and 2G, as well as connecting to home WiFi, still can't connect.

Try enabling the "Alternate Fongo Connection" setting in the app: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/arti ... ion-Failed.

If that doesn't work, you might want to submit a ticket to ask about geoblocking: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
