I'm not having this problem on iOS, at least with receiving texts. You've tapped on the 3 lines to expand the message fully, correct?
When you submit the ticket, mention the model and firmware version of the device you're using in addition to the version of the app you're using.
If you're sending texts, I'm guessing you're paying a monthly fee to do so. Here's the escalation process:
