Hi, I'm french speaking normally so please bear with my english
Ok Fongo seems interesting, I am a canadian snowbird from quebec planning to spent 4 months in texas next winter , cellular plan cost an arm and a leg so here I am . Before committing myself I have a few questions.
Ok here is the scenarios and what I think I understood
1- I download Fango on my Android phone I register , Fongo give me a phone number , and I am good to go to call for free all across Canada and the USA as long as I have wifi and or internet signal , is that ok ?
2- Am I going to be able to receive call from canada while im in Texas through the wifi where I am connected for free ?
3- Now I'm in Texas , and I want to call in Canada through wifi is it going to be free ?
4- Can we get blocked by public wifi suppliers ? I mean are they able to detect that it is Fongo and that I use their wifi for a telephone call ?
5- Can we call through a VPN ?
6- Now How can I use Fongo in order to receive the call made on my cell in canada through my actual provider Koodo ?
Its enough for now I guess , thanks a millions for your help

Yes, incoming calls are free from anywhereAm I going to be able to receive call from canada while im in Texas through the wifi where I am connected for free ?
The bigger issues are jitter and pings from Texas to Southern Ontario: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=20149#p78752.
Calls to Canadian provinces are free from anywhere. Now I'm in Texas , and I want to call in Canada through wifi is it going to be free ?
It's possible. Certain countries may also have geoblocking. Fongo is not the one restricting you.Can we get blocked by public wifi suppliers ?
I'm able to. It depends on the VPN.5- Can we call through a VPN ?

Fongo Mobile requires internet access. If you have cellular data (or Wi-Fi) and the Fongo Mobile app installed, incoming calls should work.
