That could be an OS setting affecting the entire phone (all or nothing... and I can't test with Android at the moment), but blocking numbers in Fongo Mobile is based on the app's block list.
When I'm on DNS and select "allow calls from starred contacts only", I couldn't block contacts who are not starred.
When you're not using this DNS service, does blocking contacts who are not starred, using your method, work with incoming calls to your Fongo Mobile number? If not, then the DNS service does not make a difference with allowing calls from started contacts only in Fongo Mobile.
It doesn't make sense to me that using different DNS servers to resolve domain names to IPs affects how Fongo Mobile blocks calls. Call blocking in Fongo Mobile is based on matching the incoming phone number in Fongo Mobile's own block list.
I'm trying to block everyone other than my family or employer. How can I do that, Is there another way other than my way?
I'm not aware of any other accepted method (officially supported by Fongo) of blocking calls for Fongo Mobile other than this:
