Fongo 2023.10 quits 2 seconds after launch with iOS 12.5.7

Post by User25 »

I was running Fongo 2023.8 on iPhone 5s with OS 12.5.7.
I went to the App store and downloaded the newest Fongo mobile (2023.10) and clicked "Open".
The app launched then quit after 2 seconds.
Everything I've tried since gives the same result;
- deleted and reinstalled Fongo
- restored iPhone from backup but still had to download latest Fongo
- completely erased all data on iPhone and only installed Fongo
- switched from Rogers Wifi to Bell cellular connection while launching Fongo
- multiple shut down & restarts of iPhone

I'm out of ideas and would appreciate some help.

I am unable to test anything other than iOS 17.0.3 at the moment.
Possibly other users (less likely given the obsolete iOS version being used that is no longer supported and updated by Apple) or Fongo Support staff has access to the iOS version you’re using.

These are user-to-user support forums.
Fongo Support staff is not obliged to respond here.

To reach Fongo Support staff and report issues, tickets can be submitted at
https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Visit https://status.fongo.com/.
If "Support System" indicates "Degraded Performance", ticket response time
can take up to a week (or longer).

You can check your ticket status by logging in at
https://support.fongo.com/hc/requests. That's an account for tickets
(zendesk) only and is completely separate from your Fongo Mobile account or
any other Fongo account you may have. Use the same email address that you
use to submit tickets. Do not use the same password as your Fongo Mobile
account. Again, these two accounts are unrelated.

Support staff does not respond to tickets on weekends or Canadian holidays.
Support hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. EST. They are not obliged to respond
on the these user-to-user forums.

Fongo does have https://twitter.com/Fongo_Support. I'm not sure if anyone
there responds to direct messages.
Similarly, they appear to be on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/FongoMobile/. I don't know whether they'll respond to you there.
Please do not send me emails; I do not work for nor represent Freephoneline or Fongo. Post questions on the forums so that others may learn from responses or assist you. Thank you. If you have an issue with your account or have a billing issue, submit a ticket here: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Visit http://status.fongo.com/ to check FPL/Fongo service status. Freephoneline setup guides can be found at http://forum.fongo.com/viewforum.php?f=15.

HI

I've facing the exact same issue reported here.
Will this be fixed in a newer Fongo version or are they dropping support for Iphone 5s (IOS 12.5.7)
Thanks

I suspect only Fongo support staff knows, and they are not obliged to respond here.
