[resolved] Cannot install Dell Voice on Android tablet

I have a Flytouch 3 tablet. I can't locate Dell Voice on the Android Market application on my tablet. When I go to the dellvoice.ca website, It says "no Android phone associated with this account" and won't let me install the app. I don't have a phone, only an Android tablet, thus my need for Dell Voice. Anyone else have this problem?

My Flytouch 3 doesn't have a mic. How are you going to make a call?

The flytouch's market is not the same as the full Android market, so it might not be there. If it is, try searching for "Dellvoice" all one word without quotes. I'll have a look later and see if I can find it on my tablet.

I just tried, it won't let me install it. It says, like you, that it isn't compatible - probably because it doesn't have a mic.

Sorry, unless you can get the install pack from somewhere, I don't think it will work.

Well.... I was able to install it by pull the apk from my DesireHD then installing it on my Superpad. It loads, and connects. The trouble is the keypad is too big, so you can't see the call/end call button. I could press the voicemail button, it did connect and I could access the different options.

The big problem is, there is still no mic, so I don't really see the point.

I have a mic, it's right next to the "ON" button marked "mic" on the back. You could also get a USB headset.

I am using a Le Pan II. I have some of the same problems as you are seeing with the over sized keypad. I find that pressing the "Stretch to fill screen button" and Zoom to fill screen button" sometimes gives a screen that fits and it is possible to make calls. Once the calls have been made they can be repeated using the history button and dialing that way. There does not seem to be a method of adding to the contacts list or that might be an alternative way of calling that I will investigate. I would prefer to call without the dial pad as I find that I am not very good at using the touch screen as, I think, a result of using bifocals!

Maybe you have a later version than mine. I have a hole there, but as far as I know there is no mic behind it.

1.2.8 fits very nicely on the tablet now! Well I say very nicely, it is smaller but 100% better than before. Still the mic is rubbish did you find a way to install an external one?

Haven't got the headset yet.

It needs to have an option to prevent it from starting up automatically when the tablet is turned on.
