Using the latest DELL Voice App 1.2.1 for iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 4S.
Right now I have my DELL Voice account Follow Me status set to: ENABLED and CALL FORWARD WHEN UNAVAILABLE. My DV Voice Mail is set to answer after 5 rings. I have a follow me number set up and have it set to 4 rings.
My phone has been physically powered off for about 30 minutes, I try to call my Dell Voice number, and the phone rings 5 times, then the follow me number starts to ring and will ring 5 times, then the voice mail of the follow me number picks up.
It seems Fongo actually rings the follow me number one more time than is configured. If I change the settings for the follow me number to 2 rings, and try again, it will ring the follow my phone 3 times, and then go to the Dell Voice voice mail as expected. So if someone's follow me number is configured to answer voice mail after 5 rings, this extra ring that happens with Dell Voice ends up tripping that VM instead of going back to the Dell Voice VM.
Am I the only one seeing this problem? Also, if the Dell Voice app has been closed and the device is powered off, how come it takes 5 rings just to start ringing the follow me number? Should the system detect that a SIP client is available on the other end and ring the follow me number right away or at least after 1 or 2 rings and not 5?

Re: Issue with call forwarding
Did you force quit the application, or log off through account settings? If you force quit it will take some time for it to deregister (in my experience while trying to break the app anyway), though 30 minutes seems a bit much.
Have you tried actually logging out of the phone, then dialling your Dell Voice number?

Yes, I force quit the application. I did not manually logging off because it is pain to re-enter your credentials every time. It would be great if the app developers could put a hook into the App Shutdown event and then de-register with the network as the app exits so the users dont need to re-enter their username and password the next time they load the app.
I tried again after it had been about 45-50 minutes and it still took 5 rings before the follow me number rang. I took your suggested, powered on my iPhone, went back into the Dell Voice app, and went into account settings and did a manual Logout. I tried calling again and it still took 5 rings. I waited 10 minutes just to see if it takes time to re-register even with a manual time-out, and then called again. It is still taking 5 rings before the follow me number is ringing so there is something else going on.
People are going to give up before the Dell Voice VM picks up, they aren't going to wait for 10 rings for VM. There seems to be an issue with the system re-registering clients or seeing them as being offline.

Re: Issue with call forwarding
Another updated. It has now been 1 hour since I did a manual logout of the Dell Voice app on my phone and it still rings 5 times before ringing the follow me number. It seems that unavailable detection is broken for me.
