[resolved] Dell Voice on Ipad and Android phone

Post by djc »

Anyone have this installed on an ipad and android phone? I don't have an ipad but my gf does, so I'm figuring all this out for her.

From what I know of the ipad from use of programs such as Tango, apps are always on in the background. If Dell Voice were to be installed there, I'd assume the same thing, it running in the background.

Now, if she installed this on an android phone, they'd be running simultaneously, would they both ring? I asked this in a new thread that isn't up yet but fits in here as well. Edit: Found the answer to this partly. You can only have one running at a time.

Anyways, the android app can be turned off but I don't know about the ipad so if they don't ring simultaneously, then if she wants it to ring on the android only, how can she turn off the ipad app?

Sorry for all the questions in various threads. Just trying to figure things out. Thanks

I guess if you have it on ipad 2 and iphone, it should be fine with android. Just wondering about the ipad 2 app always being on or is there a way to disconnect it when the iphone is using it? Actually, I'm not sure if the iphone would also be on as well, I know for android you can exit the app.
