Not as far as I know via the website.

How I 'got around' it is to get my PBX to immediately answer the call and deal with the ringing side of things. This way FPL thinks the call has been picked up so will not go through to voicemail after 5 rings (which is really too short with my tired old legs). If I don't pick up then my PBX forwards the call to my cell and if I don't answer there then Telus takes the message so I don't have to deal with the MWI problems @ Fongo.

But in your case no, there isn't an easy way to extend it. The reason behind it is Fongo makes a tiny amount for terminating the call. They would rather send the person to voicemail (and thus making the termination fee) than risking the person just hanging up after noone answers after, say, 10 rings.

By definition, PBX = Private Branch eXchange ...

Used to be that businesses had a high-level phone drop coming into them, and then had their own "switches" and facilities in-house to do things like extensions, voicemail, etc etc.

Since then, PBX's or pbx-emulators have become more popular and smaller, and with VOIP, practical for home users and so forth to do advanced telecom stuff.

Some stuff is handled internally by the phone company that used to be on old-school PBX's, like voicemail, call forwarding etc ...

Do a search on google for PBX for home and you will see a fair amount of software around.

A few users here on the forums have home PBX systems set up to do variable call fwd, different outbound dialing etc etc. Think of it as a basic phone system all tricked out and on steroids ...

You need to be somewhat technical and be able to configure stuff yourself to make it work correctly ...

Hope that helped...
