Delay when people calls me

I have Linksys WRTP54G 2FXS, when someone calls to my number, they do not even hear it is ringing, and after 25 seconds of delay they get disconnect tone (they think someone picked up and hang up), on my side I see someone is calling (no caller ID appears but I can see after disconnect on phone when I review later). There is long delay in ringing after they dial my number.

any suggestions experts?? I have already sent an email to support but not sure how long will it take to respond.

I was thinking about porting my number over to Fongo and decided to do some tests first - in doing those tests I encountered similar problems to you: delay when people call me.

The delay was so bad that I was unable to successfully receive a single call.

I have the Fongo app running on my Nexus Android phone, connected via a Wi-Fi connection that is working reliably for everything else. I only tested under ideal circumstances, e.g. with the screen on and the Fongo app running. I was intending to test it using cellular connection instead of wi-fi, and to test it when the app isn't running (i.e. app gets launched via Google GCM), but with a success rate of 0% in ideal conditions there wasn't much point.

Obviously, just testing it one evening is not very scientific, so I will try again tomorrow, but even if it works perfectly the next few nights that will still add up to a very poor record. So I want to ask whether there is some sort of transient problem at Fongo today? Surely this couldn't be normal. This test - receiving a phone call - is about as basic as it gets for a VoIP service.

Do you have the modem connected directly to the WRTP54G, or is the WRTP54G being daisy chained off another router? Reason for asking is even though the WRTP54G is a router itself, I see a lot of users daisy chain it off their other router (which will often have wireless N, or functionality not available on the WRTP54G) and this scenario could cause trouble.

Hi Steve,

My Modem (which is router too) is connected directly to WRTP54G. This issue started just last week and I did not change anything on my end. It was working great since Aug 2011. Now there is a 25 seconds delay when I dial out too, prior it was connected to other number right away.
