Connectivity issues

Post by Windom »

Hello,

I've been with freephoneline for a couple of years now and we seen to be having connectivity issues more often now as time passes by. The past couple of months, we lose the home phone every other day. Our device is the Grandstream HandyTone-286 and info below from the device config:
Product Model: HT287 Rev4.1
Software Version: Program-- 1.1.0.42 Bootloader-- 1.1.0.1 HTML-- 1.1.0.42 VOC-- 1.0.0.13

So the issue here is every couple of days, all of a sudden we'd lose connection on the phone. The HT286 will flash red. The VOIP device is connected through a TrendNet gigabyte switch, then Asus RT-AC66U to the Modem. We're using cable modem from Acanac and had no issues until the past couple of months. We can reconnect the line by restarting the modem, that's switching it off for 15 sec then powering it back on. That will solve the problem but is only a temporary fix. Is there some way I can fix this, or is the HT286 too old? It is getting quite frustrating as we're missing quite a bit of calls.

Thanks in advance.
Brian
