Can I use other brand VOIP adapters instead of Grandstream HT
I used Ooma Telo earlier I have the adapter and the phone. Is this compatible with Fongo Home Phone?
Thanks!

Re: Home Phone Adapter
No, Ooma’s device is locked to Ooma’s service only, and Fongo Home Phone requires you to buy the ATA that Fongo sells.
If you wish to use an unlocked IP Phone or unlocked ATA, then you might want to look into Freephoneline instead with the caveat that you are you own technical support. Technical support assistance for Freephoneline is not free.

I have few questions before I sign up for a home phone from Fongo
- 1. Does the phone ATA has a built in voicemail option?
- 2. Is it possible to view or manage the Fongo Home Phone using a mobile app?
- 3. Can I use the mobile app to call or receive phone calls coming to my home phone number?
- 4. Is it possible to try the Fongo Home Phone service before I buy the ATA

Re: Home Phone Adapter
Fongo Home Phone’s service includes voicemail. That really has nothing to do with the ATA — other than the ATA can notify you when you have voicemail.little-star wrote:1. Does the phone ATA has a built in voicemail option?
Via a web browser app by logging in at https://account.fongo.com/login/Is it possible to view or manage the Fongo Home Phone using a mobile app?
Not for outbound callsCan I use the mobile app to call or receive phone calls coming to my home phone number?
You can forward incoming calls to another number, such as Rogers, Bell, or Telus mobile numbers, for example.

No. But it stands to reason that if the Fongo Mobile app works for you while you are at home,4. Is it possible to try the Fongo Home Phone service before I buy the ATA
connected to Wi-Fi, then Fongo Home Phone should work as well.
