3-Way Calling - Problem?

Post by beverly »

A few months ago 3-Way Calling (*73) use to work but it has since stopped working and now it give the message "the account is already in use". And yet I can complete the three way with "the account is already in use" to my primary caller that i'm trying to link up together and I still end the three-way by linking over.

I know it wasn't supported but what ever happened to it?
I know freephoneline makes money off us making calls, now it is just one less.

I can use my account twice at the same time using the same ATA.

Hi Bev,
Instead of using (*73), what i do to accomplish 3-way calling is tell my first party to hold, then press the talk button until you here a dial tone, dial the 3rd party while the 1st party is on hold wait for the 3rd party to answer and then press talk again to connect both parties which establishes your 3-way connection. I can confirm that this method works for me and my family, so I hope this helps you and others.

Thank You

Ok after further testing, this problem still exists. It was working for week after my last post then it stopped working and I finally got around to write about it.
