Server Upgrades - 06.30.2010 - 07.02.2010
Our primary SIP server is undergoing some upgrades throughout this morning, as well as a few more upgrades scheduled for later this week.
We do not expect any major calling disruptions during this time, but changing details on your account (including follow-me) and new registrations may have some minor disruptions throughout the morning today.
We are working hard to ensure the disruptions are as minor as possible and happen during hours when most of you are probably sleeping.
The upgrade will include both a new primary server and two version upgrades on the SIP server platform itself.
If there are any questions about this do not hesitate to send me a message here.
We appreciate your patronage and support as we continue to grow for the future.

Re: Server Upgrades - 06.30.2009 - 07.02.2009
Several FPL subcribers in Quebec city are completely disconnected , calling the number give a busy tone not even the voicemail, and cannot call. this sunday late night, is this due to the server upgrade ?
Re: Server Upgrades - 06.30.2009 - 07.02.2009
I am finding the same thing here in Toronto as well! I can receive or make calls, yet my ATA (Linksys PAP2T) shows that I am On-line and Registration was successful.
Please look into this ASAP as I have no home phone!
Thanks!

Both Steve and myself have Toronto numbers and they seem to be registering with no issues, when they are called they do hand back a NIS (Not in Service) message - It is being investigated currently.

Re: Server Upgrades - 06.30.2009 - 07.02.2009
Hi admins,
I got the same problem here, I have a 647 phone number, nothing changed on my side (ROGERS High speed + SPA1001). I noticed the problem on other forums last night (people confirmed the issue) and now when I try again it's still can't dial out / dial in.
Sorry to say that but this is an issue confirmed, like users reported above, I guess this may relevant to the system upgrade, please double check the system. Let me know if you need any more info.
Test steps done by me 5 minutes ago:
1. dial my cell phone, after about 10~15 seconds, got busy signal, cell phone never ring
2. dial from my cell phone to FPL number, got busy signal after a while too
3. ATA shows Registered
4. rebooted ATA, ATA can successful registered FPL again
5. Run test 1&2, still same.
Thanks

Is the server going thru problems? My linksys 2012 cannot connect nor can my X-Lite softphone. It is showing me as not being able to register.
I am in the GTA area with a 647-XXX-XXXX phoneline SIP.

We've restarted the SIP server and it appears to have resolved the issues with UA registration as well as inbound calling, some numbers have been reported as still going to voicemail and this is being looked into as well.

Re: Server Upgrades - 06.30.2009 - 07.02.2009
Thanks for fixing this!
I first noticed this just before midnight last night. I tested things my end and another VOIP service worked OK. I tried switching to the softphone to test also, but could not get anything so I assumed the servers were having a funny 5 minutes. When I tested things this morning all was up and running, so thank you for fixing this so quickly.
BTW, you might want to 'adjust' the title of this thread "Server Upgrades - 06.30.2009 - 07.02.2009", unless it has been dug up from last year...

Re: Server Upgrades - 06.30.2010 - 07.02.2010
I am in Burlington. My phone is sometimes up and mostly down since yesterday. When people try to call me, they get my voicemail. I worked all day today trying to clear the problem and reconfiguring my bell router and my ATA (which I bought from you). I tried everything and nothing works. Are you certain all problems are solved?

This is definitely unrelated - I'd say to call in for support or open a new thread
