Re: Sept 27/10 - Unplanned service interruption
I can accept if FPL take server maintenance after 11:00PM or maybe down for 10~20 mins. But not like this.
Re: Sept 27/10 - Unplanned service interruption
FPL is down again tonight Sept 29 at 9:00 pm & still down. Of the last six days 3 nights without lines.
Re: Sept 27/10 - Unplanned service interruption
Anyone at FPL have an update on today's issue or an uptime? Or better yet, an explanation for this troublesome trend.

Fail in London since 9pm
Re: Sept 27/10 - Unplanned service interruption
Noticed signs of spotty service -- half duplex, fast busy interrupting midway through calls -- around 7 p.m. Now it's totally down, like everyone else.
Does freephoneline.ca cooperate with porting requests?

Re: Sept 27/10 - Unplanned service interruption
As we'd explained earlier in the thread, a huge server upgrade is what's being done. Everyone is getting a newsletter at the start of the coming week explaining the changes that are taking place, our projected integration timeline and what updates might be required to be done to your softphone (if you're a softphone user). This is a well needed server infrastructure overhaul that should make these growing issues with the current server a thing of the past.Morgan wrote:Anyone at FPL have an update on today's issue or an uptime? Re: Sept 27/10 - Unplanned service interruption
For a FREE service (except for the porting and SIP config costs) some people sure do expect the world. I didn't notice it was down as all of my calls were falling over to my backup trunks. Yay for Asterisk!
Now if my number could just be ported in a little quicker...

@Steve,
My apologies. In my haste and frustration I missed reading your whole post earlier in this thread. That's great news that FPL is planning an upgrade. I know that you guys are already doing everything you can to restore service as soon as possible. Keep up the great work!

My SIP can dail out, but no income call. always busy when some one call in. Sometimes will ask for leaving voice message.
When I tried softphone, it seems everything is OK, call in and call out.
Anyone experienced same problem?
Toronto time 11:14pm Oct. 4

Downtime was minimal, here are the actual figures:
Critical: 2010/10/04 21:26:40
Normal: 2010/10/04 21:38:49
By 11:14 it was up, this may have been a isolated incident; however, if your device was set to re-register at a 1800 second interval it would have taken a while to come back online.
