In same network, FPL is great but Dell voice has a poor sound quality. WHY?
I did the test in my home and Office.

Can you provide some more details about how each is being tested?

I tested FPL+ATA(PAP2T, OBI110) and desktop application on wondows Xp and win 7 in my home. The voice is perfect. Also I tested FPL+PAP2T and desktop application on windows vista in my office. It is great as well.

I installed Dell voice(ver 1.3.1) in my cell phone (Android 2.3.3). Both side of voice are choppy. Then I installed Dell voice on the Motolora Xoom ( android 3.2). the voice is same as my cell phone. My friend tested Dell voice on iphone4 and same choppy voice.

I would love the Dell Voice Android 2.3.5 more if somebody can point me in the right direction with the following problem. When I call somebody (cell, land line, another Dell Voice client) the party on the other line when he talks to me he can hear his voice again (echo effect). On my end I do not hear my voice echoing. I have tried on WIFI and 3G with same effect. I used NETALK for Android with no such problem. Is there a fix for this? Please advise. Thank you

I guess DV uses media channel to play the other end's voice. Then his voice goes to your microphone. So He can hear his voice.
If you use a earphone, this problem will not happen.

Man, your phone volume is set to VERY/LOUD!
Set that to Normal or softer. ;)

I guess your other parties know how to set their phone volumes correctly!

Really? Then maybe it is not the volume setting after all...I'm stumped!
We did not hear echoes on our Androids, but then I was connected to my home wi-fi when I was testing it.

As of June 25/2012, Dell Voice is still distributing v1.1.1!
I believe we would all like to know how to retrieve your current release.

It's been several months since your announcement, when will Dell Voice post
v1.3?

Phone call to support on 6/25 has not been responded to.
I want the new voice mail notification and preferences.
Anyone care to comment?

I second that!
An alternative might be to create a version that will run under wine. It can be done as I have the MS windows version of the Spokn client running under Wine on my machine where it seems to run as well or better than on MS windows.

The 1.3 release was just for the mobile phone apps I believe. The desktop client is still 1.1.1

The suggestion has already been made, and passed along, that version numbers should be indicated after the platform (or vice versa) to avoid future confusion on this matter. I think it is a VERY GOOD suggestion myself, and would like to see it implemented immediately!

Sorry, but that is not the response that I received from Fongo support.
Apparently FPL is distributing 1.3 on the PC platform.
The Fonge rep that I spoke to 2 weeks ago said a problem ticket would
be opened with Dell Voice to address this issue (acknowledging my concerns).

I have as yet to receive a reply.

Are there FPL clients out there with desktop v1.3?

FPL desktop is v3.0.3.0 ... and it is buggy as all hell.

DV client (which I just re-downloaded) is still at 1.1.1 -- that was using the LINK for downloading the PC desktop app from the DV website.

My phone is android 2.3.3. I noticed the icon in status bar is blue normally. Sometimes it is green. When I start Dell voice, it became blue again. Can I receive incoming call when it is green?
