The FollowMe module was updated but I see there's still no SIP URI forwarding.... Is that still in the cards? It should be easy to implement and cheaper than forwarding to PSTN numbers. Thanks.

We're adding things as fast as our programming team can push them out. We are also releasing a new softphone which should fix PC load issues and DTMF freezes, as well as some other minor bugs...

Repost: It's a combination of many things actually. The core of our company, Fibernetics, is a CLEC. Therefore, like any phone company, any call that comes onto our network brings along the appropriate termination fees that we collect. Of course we also have to pay termination on outgoing calls, but if they are within our network then we pay nothing (hence our trying to get all of Canada on this service!)

so you mean that you reduce the number of seconds before voicemail, to ensure that the incoming calls are always connected, and hence bring termination fees that you collect ?

Exactly, sorry I meant to edit and clarify but you're right on it! - Except for the "reducing" part, the standard ring time for all phones is 30 seconds. The thing I also failed to mention is we as an individual company aren't charging these; almost all telco's will. You may also be thinking "So people have to pay every time they call me?", well, No. It is the other persons provider that pays us, and we pay them as well if we use their network etc...

Well forwarding time and voicemail time are two separate functions:

Voicemail time, how long it takes for the call to go to voicemail OR start ringing your followme number(s)

Forwarding time, how long the call actually rings on your forwarding number

Is there any way to have the maximum time before voicemail increased to say 45 seconds or 60 seconds? When using FPL on a mobile device, there is a lag between getting a call notification message and launching the softphone app which then answers the call (this is for cases when the softphone isn't already the active app). In my testing, unless I immediately acknowledge the notification, the delay of launching the softphone app before accepting the call means that most calls will go to voicemail prior to being answered. Even a few extra seconds would make a huge difference here. Please consider increasing the maximum.

Why it doesn't allow us to followme to anther FPL#? I have 2 FPL# at home and would rather forward unanswered/missed call from the main to the second line than to my cellular phone. I have one incident today the main phone doesn't ring and the call followme to my cellular.

We had an issue with people harvesting freephoneline numbers all over the place and forwarding them all to each other. This was creating a heavy amount of business use - which is prohibited. We do have an add-on DID option coming shortly which will somewhat address this request.

BS'D

Does it work? For me it did not

Would it be possible to send emails for updates instead of having to log in and use the forum all the time?

Also, would it be possible when there is a voice mail to be sent to the person's personal e-mail address and/or send the mp file to hear the message there as in GoogleTalk?

Also, I found that I recorded a personal greeting and it did not work...

Note sure I understand your question about files, but you can get it two ways: 1) via the website, log in and go to your Mailbox page, you can download the voice mail files there 2) have them forwarded as email to you.

Can someone please clarify if FPL allows forwarding to US phone numbers? I wanted to buy credits and then just forward all my cellphone calls to my FPL line which would just forward to my work phone in the USA. This would help a lot of people who travel.

I've asked many people but no one has a clear answer!

A voucher can be used to forward to any North American phone number (ie. one that starts in +1+10 digits)
