audio file format
Re: audio file format
I just upgraded the iOS on my wife's iPOD to 4.0 and it now plays voicemails in Quicktime. Has any figured out how to play them on an Android phone?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: audio file format
I also would love to see the file format change from .au to .wav - I use a corporate BlackBerry - can plan .wav but no .au . Due to lockdown of the device I can't install any apps.

Has anyone figured out how to play them on a Blackberry? Sure would be nice.
Re: audio file format
Have you tried the service previously mentioned earlier (http://www.iphoneconvert.com) or same company but more meaningful name http://www.phoneconvert.com ? I beleive they offer free service so try it and then if it works go with the suggested donation so you get higher priority with file conversion. I signed up long ago as I have an iphone and it worked for me.
Re: audio file format
I tried them and they work well.
I hope that soon enough someone creates an android app that does this, but for the meantime, iphoneconvert does the trick.

There is an application called Audioro which I hear does the job quite well, however I've not had a chance to test it since I bricked my Xperia X10 ![Embarrassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

That's a beautiful phone, far too beautiful to be acting as a paper weight

Re: audio file format
It's a similar problem on Android, or at least for my Archos 101. I'm guessing it's a Google versus Sun/Oracle thing, but you have to purchase third party media players. Is there some sort of alternative to .au for android/iphone users?admin wrote:mp3 would be a pretty big file to compress and send automatically for all of the users who use vm to email... We use .au which is compatible with Quicktime as far as I know.. But if you're saying it's not that you would be the correct one here. Have you tried downloading FLV player?
