1-900-NUM-BERS

Postby brucethom » 08/31/2014

Why is 1-900 blocked? I missed out on winning $7000 on a TV game show because my phone is about as useful as a Fisher-Price phone (except I can't pull it behind me while giggling). My "free" phone line just cost me $7000! Actually it cost me $7005 because a bought $5 in World Credits assuming that would solve my problem...Not! They are my credits, why can't I use them as I want? I assume the regular phone company gets a cut from 1-900 number, can't Freephoneline/Fongo do the same?

Fongo is doing you a service by protecting you from yourself. Any company that offers prizes by requiring you to dial a 1-900 number is almost certainly fraudulent. Think about it, this is the same type of scam where there is a big amount of money going to you, all you need to pay is a small amount to cut through the red tape.
