incoming calls dropped immediately after answering

Post by kentor »

Hello,

I am using Thomson Speedtouch 780wl DSL ADSL2+ WiFi Modem Router VoIP. I've followed the steps over here http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 0wl#p46546 to do the setup. I am able to make outgoing calls. However when receiving an incoming call, I hear the phone ring but as soon as I answer the phone, the call drops. I've tried disabling the SIG ALG by following http://www.voiptuts.com/2011/02/disable ... touch.html but am still having the same issue. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm not sure what else to try. Thanks!

I tried again today. I dialed the freephoneline.ca number and was able to hear the ring. I was able to pick up and the line didn't drop. I could speak and the person initiating the incoming call could hear me but I could not hear them speak.

After hanging up and trying again, I could no longer hear the incoming ring.

Hi there,

I think you have to reboot after disabling sip alg.

Have you done that?

SIP alg will not allow incomming calls:

Yes I have tried rebooting. For some reason, even after rebooting, I can no longer receive incoming calls at all (I was able to make a single call but not anymore) but that was already the case before trying to reboot again.

Hi there,

You may want to try a firmware upgrade on your device.

I am not 100% sure, but you can check the below:
http://forums.modem-help.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=10354

Perhaps you can check yourself to see which one is applicable to your unit.

Thanks,

Hi there,

Can you please send me a PM with the telephone number associated with the account. Also, if you have support ticket opened for this issue, please include that in your PM as well.

Additional information- Internet provider and model of the modem.

I think your setup is a little different than the FPL standards and hence your unit is not registering.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Hi kentor, Welcome to Fongo community!

I'm not using the speedtouch 780WL (o2 box) any longer but certainly collecting dust in my bedroom closest and was used awhile back when I was a DSL customer. I somehow remember about this all-in-1 unit though, I had my days and issues like when it constantly dropped connection or froze on me.. exactly what "Fongo Support suggested" i upgraded to a stable firmware and everything worked like normal afterwards.

Follow this just make sure your using (line 1 with 5060 register & proxy port) with Freephoneline http://www.montrealcommunity.com/Thread ... ouch-780WL
