No Incoming Audio PFsense

Post by xman111 »

Hey guys, just got my OBi110 working with freephoneline and google voice using this link.. http://blog.voipdiy.com/2013/07/freepho ... bi100.html.. I can make and receive calls perfectly using **2 and using Google voice as the provider. The problem is when i try to use freephoneline. I can never hear any incoming audio on my cordless phone. I suspect it is something to do with PFsense as it is very hard to configure. Any help or troubleshooting would really be appreciated, love the forum!!

It's unfortunate that the VoIPDIY site seems to have a lot of incorrect information :(

If you still have one-way audio after setting the OBi up as per Fongo Support's suggestion, this guide may help:

http://www.3cx.com/blog/voip-howto/pfsense-firewall/

You will need to know your OBi's RTP port range. By default this is 16600-16798 for ITSP Profile A and 16800-16998 for ITSP Profile B.
Is your router as secure as you think it is? Find out with this simple test: http://toao.net/580

thanks guys i think that fixed the problem, you guys are great.. I re-did the setup like support said, it didn't fix the problem but at least got me where it was how it was supposed to be. The fix was from Mango, it was that damn PFsense again. Pfsense is awesome, i can run full VPN on our whole house without losing any speed but it is very confusing to setup and change. Once it works, it works great.. I don't think i had my ports forwarded correctly. Thanks guys, just going to setup my voicemail and i am off and running.
