Placing a particular local number call requires $

Has anyone heard of this? When I try to call my doctor's office, which is 2 kms away, also in Calgary, I get the message that I have insufficient funds in my account to place the call. It's a 587 area code, which has been out for several years now, since 403 ran out of numbers. My cell is 587 even. It's the only number I have tried that does this, Local, or Canadian long distance. Anyone?

It happens from time to time, that rate tables don't get updated. I assume you do not have an ATA with a dial plan that is accidentally applying a transformation to the number, making it into a long distance call.

Sorry, should have said I have Freephoneline? I just have the desktop app. I have no ATA. I did open a ticket, and got this back: "We do not provide customer support for Freephoneline Desktop, Freephoneline VoIP Unlock Keys (SIP configuration files) and third party ATA devices." I'm not sure I have any resource access except this forum.
