KW5262 SIP client was refused for FPL registration

Post by Nice »

As I am a FPL valid customer, using my Cisco ATA112 with FPL service over years...all good.
Now I wanted to switch to a KW5262 (modem/router which has VOIP feature). Sip client setting are followed the provided FPL profile however, FPL still refused the sip client for registration. (maybe provision were not able to be obtained).
Can anyone helps please...

You're using port 5061. voip.freephoneline.ca only listens on port 5060.

Thanks for your reply...I have tested on both 5060 and 5061, same result AND my cisco SPA112 currently using 5061 and it working perfectly fine. All ports 5060~5061 / 16384~16482 are forwarded to my VOIP device.

Question is does FPL make restriction on specific device for each registered account ? like my profile were given to setup for Cisco SPA112 on server/switch side and my this newly test device is a Broadcom SIP client (KW5262) instead ?

You're confusing your SIP port with FPL's SIP port. It's fine for your SIP port to be any number, but FPL's must be 5060, with the exception of voip4 which listens on 6060. Change to 5060, then post another log, and we'll go from there.

Ok..as per suggested. I have it changed to port 5060 and pull the log again...Cheers.

I have not used your device before so I am guessing, but this line

Code: Select all

User1: (null) <(null)@192.168.0.250>, password (null), authname (null)
Could this mean that you either have not added the un/pw, or you have put it in the wrong place?

Just as a side note also, you won't be able to have both ATAs running at the same time, so make sure you have powered down your old ATA before booting up the new one.

You may wish to give voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 a try in case this router has a SIP ALG which is causing the problem. Other than that I'm outta ammo.

Hi,

re(1) Question is FPL replied with reason code 20 CCRSN_REG_REFUSED

Are you sure that the reply is from FPL?

re(2)->16478499999@192.168.0.250

My polycom is setup like this:

1xxxxxxxxxx@voip.freephoneline.ca not like 1xxxxxxxxx@privateIP of the polycom or Public IP of the ISP

Perhaps you can send a PM to Mango- maybe he can find a moment and assist you remotely.

I prefer to assist users here in the forum, so that other users with the same problem will also be able to benefit. Unfortunately, I've never used a KW5262 so am out of ideas. If it were my device, I would try to obtain a SIP trace to troubleshoot further.
