Busy signal on outgoing and incoming FPL calls
I am not able to place or receive FPL calls.
Outgoing calls: dial tone is fine. I get a busy signal after I dial a number.
Incoming calls: I get a busy signal even though the phone is not in use.
Calling FPL to Fongo is fine. Calling Fongo to FPL is fine too. It seems that only "out-of-the-system" calls are affected.
Rebooting VoIP box didn't help.
The issue started today.
Any ideas?

I can receive calls just fine, but outgoing calls get the message "The number you dialed xxxxxxx was rejected by the service provider. Reason is 403"

Re: Busy signal on outgoing and incoming FPL calls
I just woke up and am currently on a phone call, so I didn't realize anything was wrong earlier.JoeBlow25 wrote:I can receive calls just fine, but outgoing calls get the message "The number you dialed xxxxxxx was rejected by the service provider. Reason is 403"
But I just checked another FPL account, and I'm seeing a bunch of "call rejected" for the disconnect reason on outbound calls until approximately 10:30 a.m. EST after logging in at https://www.freephoneline.ca/doGetCallLogs.
Calls on that account are working fine now.
SIP error 403 means "forbidden: the server understood the request but is refusing it", which would be odd if the ATA or IP Phone is registered and had been accepting the correct SIP Username and SIP Password perfectly fine previously. It's always important to check registration status in your device and after logging in at https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings (SIP Status). Regardless, this current issue isn't due to user error.
Currently, I'm not experiencing issues on any of my FPL accounts using voip2.freephoneline.ca

Re: Busy signal on outgoing and incoming FPL calls
I just quickly tested all 3 FPL servers. Incoming and outgoing calls are working on all of them.
So, whatever was causing the 403 SIP error code seems to be resolved.

Re: [Resolved] 403 error (call rejected)
I'm told the problem was due to an unspecified Fibernetics system change.
The change must be completed now, since I can't reproduce the problem at this time.
