Leave yourself a new message and then retrieve it. That may cycle the indicator for you.

Re: Account Errors?

Post by FONGO_kris »

After the upgrade early Wednesday morning, there was some miscommunication between our SIP Gateway (which propagates all the changes to follow me, etc...) and our web interface.

These were unforeseen complications that are unfortunately a part of such a massive upgrade, which we are working to have resolve at our earliest possible moment.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Display name error ...

Post by Liviudo »

Since yesterday instead of my number 514-447-xxxx, when I call anybody (including my cell),
on their display appears strange 514-940-xxxx, 514-906-xxxx, so I can't authenticate to some services.

Can you help me?
Thanks,

Caller ID not showing when initiate FPL call. It shows "Private Caller". When initiate *67 as advised in one of the threads a voice come on saying "This Call Is Not Covered By Your Tarrif Plan". I can't make international phone calls due to caller ID issue. I have your PAP2 ATA Linksys.

Windsor, ON area

Please advise. Thank you

Yesterday my caller ID started being wrong but service was still working. As of today it does not work anymore. When I call my freephoneline from a real phone it is silence for 10 sec then fast busy. I did not change anyting in my ATA or network; it used to work. In my ATA the sip trunk is registered ok with freephoneline. I hope they fix it soon, it was supposed to save me money now I have to use my cell phone all the time which cost me $$.

No Caller ID after Oct 6th upgrade?

Post by Casper »

Does anybody experience this issue? Mine (Outgoing call) show up as Line286 instead of my registered name.
Or just me... :(

No incoming calls

Post by visioncraft »

I have tried to access the thread on this topic, but it seems to have disappeared.

Since the upgrade on Wednesday, I can make outgoing calls but I cannot receive incoming calls - they go direct to voicemail. I am using an Aastra 6731i IP phone that, previously, worked great with freephoneline.

I sent an e-mail to technical support, but have yet to receive a reply.

Since the upgrade my Canada wide long distance has not been working. When I dial my access number I get "if you wish to subscribe to this serice please call 416-848-8882" which is worldline.

I have already paid for this service for a year, and do not want ot subscribe again. I called three times yesterday, had a bunch of stuff done to my account (removing LD from my second phone and moving it to my cell which apparently now has to be done), and was told it would be fixed by 5pm yesterday.

It is still not fixed as of 2:30 today!

when I use my ata fpl phone to call my cell phone the call id is not my fpl number number and it someone else. I really hope my fpl number doesn't show up as someone else caller id instead of their own.

Re: Call log problem after Server Upgrade on Oct 6, 2010

sl9280 wrote:I found that the call log didn't capture the "Call From" and "Duration" information after the Server upgrade on Oct 6, 2010.

Here is the capture of call log on Oct 5, and Oct 6, I made. I replaced the last 4 digit with xxxx for protecting my privacy.

Successful calls:

After server upgrade on Oct 6, the "Call From" is empty and the "Duration" is always "0". You see I make a call for more than 30 minutes but it show as 0:00 in the "Duration"

From To Duration Connect time Disconnect time City Cost
1866826xxxx 0:00 2010-10-06 11:32:14.0 2010-10-06 12:10:51.0 $ 0.0

Before Oct 6, "Call From" and "Duration" captured in the log.

From To Duration Connect time Disconnect time City Cost
1778803xxxx *98 0:19 2010-10-05 00:33:44.0 2010-10-05 00:34:03.0 $ 0.0
1503683xxxx 1778803xxxx 04:28 2010-10-05 00:27:47.0 2010-10-05 00:32:15.0 Richmond BC $ 0.0
As of today Oct 7, 2010 1:40 p.m. PDT, the problem of the log not capture the "From" (for call make from the softphone orginated from the freephoneline number) and "Duration" is always "zero" still there. When FPL will get it fixed?

To me this is very very important, I think if requested by us the customer we should have the right to have our numbers automatically blocked upon request!

PS:I hope this feature can be added right away for the sake of our own privacey..

Thanks!

As of Oct 7, 2010 5:02 p.m. PDT.

The call ID not show issue seems resolved but a wrong ID was shown to my destination caller display.

When I made call from my softphone to a landline or my cell phone, my freephoneline number (a Vancouver, BC number) was not shown as the caller ID. Instead it always show a different number 604-628-2598.

My friend with a Calgary number call the same set of landline phone numbers and also display the same number on the Caller ID 604-628-2598.

What have done wrong? Looks like we were calling from an extension and the prime number is always show to the destination caller on the caller ID display.

Hope FPL look into this matter and get a quick fix as caller display is so important to our daily life. I won't receive call that I don't identify by the caller ID. I leave it to the answering machine to take a screening.

I also have the caller ID issue. My 647- number appears as 613- when I call Ottawa, and appears as "Unknown" on my 647- cell phone. (Normally my cell displays the phone number, if not the name, of the calling party.) This issue is new since the upgrade.

Thanks to the FPL team for all their hard work!
