My FPL with Grandstream HT702 interrupts the service (failed to register the phone service) automatically and unpredictably, I'm wondering how to fix the problem?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi there,
I had the same problem as you, The line was unregistering at random times, During this point I tried many things but eventually ended up emailing tech support, With tech support we tried many things, Firstly we adjusted the settings on the ATA, this didnt really change anything, I also had to reset my router to factory default settings just incase the problem wasnt the router but that didnt help either, Lastly the tech support agent gave me a link to OpenDNS which is a external dns service, He gave me instructions for my specific router to setup the service which was easy, basically all I did was input two Static DNS Ip Addresses into my router's DHCP Server Settings and applied the changes, after I did that I did a power cycle on my modem, router and ata, and after a full day my ATA never unregistered, The issue could be the same for you, the DNS may be the issue. Try that and let me know if it fixed your problem! The Tech support experience was the best Ive ever recieved from any service, So well done fongo on that!

Hi Track221,
Thank you for reply, I did setup OpenDNS as my DNS a while ago. I will contact Tech support and see if we can figure it out.

Another thing to check out would be the keep alive settings in your router (depending on how your modem and router are configured) I have seen a number of times where the router would "go to sleep" and disconnect the ATA.
