* 98 ask for an account number

Post by gmalartre »

Hi,

I've been succesfully usign freephoneline for a week but voicemail just doesn't work. I called the montreal office three times and they always told me the problem would be fix before next day (problem still remain).

When I press *98, instead of voicemail I'm ask for an account number. Also, when I call from a remote location, instead of voice mail, it says after some ring "The account does not exist".

Can anyone at freephoneline fix my account? On the phone they told me they tried to reset my voicemail without success.

Thanks!

First of all, you can't pick up voicemail from a remote location with freephoneline -- This is a feature we're working on but it will take time.

Secondly, the request for an account number when you dial *98 can usually be fixed by resetting your mailbox in our back-end.

Let me reformulate what I just told.

I called three time to get the problem fix, they told me they did reset the voicemail TWO time and on the third call they told me they sent a mail to a programmer from freephoneline to check before 31 of july.

Why is it still not working? Why three call to tech support gave no result?

And I never said I want to take voicemail from remote location. I'm telling that if I call from another number to my freephoneline account I get this weird message after around ten ring tone.

Do you remember who you've talked to any of the times on the phone? I'll try and get our FPL admin here on this as he also has direct contact with the programmers. I had a similar problem with my voicemail when I first got the service - I'm not sure what causes it, but it's usually resolved with an email or two to the system programmers. I'll get him to check into it and follow-up on here with you.

I'm sorry, can't remember who exactly I talked to. Do you have enough information on my account to fix the issue or do I have to send my freephoneline number to a tech-support guy?

I'm registered at fpline with guillaumemalartre@scolab.com

Thanks for the quick reply!

Its been a month or so since I started to ask for a bit of support. The problem remains and when people call at my freephoneline when I'm away they believe the number is not valid.
