incomplete number
incomplete number
When I try to dial out, it always says "failed" because it is an "incomplete number". Can anyone tell me exactly the number to dial for long distance calls? Do I have to dial "1" anywhere? Thanks

Re: incomplete number
Where are you trying to dial log distance?
Our service automatically prefixes all numbers with a +1, so you don't have to - This also includes 800 numbers.
For a list of free areas see here: http://www.freephoneline.ca/ldServices
If the area is outside of those, you need a long distance package (2Stage dial), which you'll have to call in to sign up for.

Re: incomplete number
Hi. I do have a long distance plan. I dialed the number given and then the number of the person I wanted to call but it keeps coming up "failed". I'm just trying to figure out what I did wrong. Thanks

Re: incomplete number
The long distance plans with us have an access number, you may dial any of them (since they are all in our service areas) and free for you - Try 4168484401, wait for a dial tone then dial the number you wish to reach.

Re: incomplete number
I'm trying to dial a number in Hanover, Ontario-----that is the reason I signed up for the long distance package. Thanks, I tried the number that you gave along with the number I am trying to call. I got the dial tone and dialed my number but it still came up "incomplete" I am likely missing some obvious thing, but I don't know what. Thanks

Try using a different DTMF type in the softphone, or in your ATA settings (which ever is applicable)

I don't know what DTMF or that other thing is.

I am in Montreal right now, does that make a difference?
