Can't receive calls from some providers

Post by illaguiss »

Hi;

I set up my freephoneline line with my Dlink DVG 1120s ATA, i can make calls perfectly, i can receive them too.
But not from FIDO or Primus numbers, bell or telus costumers can call me. Fido customers for example will only hear a fast busy line and my phone doesn't ring. i set up my 2WIRE Bell modem/router to forward UDP ports (5060, 5061, 13000, 130001, 10000 to 20000), I even open all the ports using the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) on my 2WIRE Bell modem/router.

I called freephoneline tech support, they told me that they will try to contact me in 48hours 5 days ago but never heard about them.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

I just discovered something, when Fido or Primus Customers hide their numbers (making it private or dialing *67 before my number), they can reach my freephoneline line without problem.

Thanks.

Currently, on of my coworkers who is on Fido, can indeed call his FPL number and talk to someone at his house.

In any case it will be tested over the next week.

Hi;

Please test it using my sip settings on a Dlink DVG 1120 ata.
A friend of mine is having the exact same problem.

Thanks.

We currently only sell and support the Linksys PAP2T-NA ATA for our services, for that reason we do not have any other brands here to test. Any issues with other brands of ATAs must be brought to the attention of the manufacturer to see if any of their settings may need modifying.

@the OP, we likely said we would open a ticket and if you're still having the problems to call us back in 48hrs. Due to the high volume of calls we take here in a day we generally never tell people we will follow-up after each ticket. Although if the agent did tell you he/she would phone with you personally and never did then please PM me their name and I will look into things further.
