I can hear people just fine. They Cannot hear ME

Postby FongoUser007 » 09/25/2013

Hello Everyone,

I've had months of issues with my Fongo ATA device.
When people call I can hear them crystal clear! But on their end they say I'm breaking up, every word I speak never gets to their end? I'm lost!
I've attempted to replace everything on my end, Router, Phones, Cables and still I'm running into issues. Can anyone assist my troubleshooting this issue?
Note: All devices are right beside each other.

My setup:

ATA: HT 286 (HT287 Rev 4.1) on the admin pages
- Software Version: 1.1.0.45 Bootloader-- 1.1.0.1 HTML-- 1.1.0.45 VOC-- 1.0.0.13

Router: AirPort Time Capsule - 2TB | 802.11ac

Home Phone: Panasonic KX-TG7645M
- This system has 6 handsets through out the home

Thank you

FPL not accepting incoming calls ?

Postby Juste » 02/21/2014

Hello

I am surprised nobody is complaining about not being able to get incoming calls.
For two days, all my FPL numbers, whether registered with Sipsorcery, pbxes.org or LIV, are having the same problem. Switching from voip2.freephoneline.ca to voip.freephoneline.ca makes no difference.
A friend of mine just let me know he has the same problem.

I read on dslreports.com that FPL seems to have had some problems.
Anyone can confirm, please ?

Thanks,
Juste

I can't hear anything when calling or receiving calls

Postby Cosmins » 02/21/2014

Hi,

Since yesterday I start having issues with the freephoneline SIP configuration. I use a Linksys SIP, SPA2102 that worked fine using voip2.freephoneline.ca proxy. Yesterday I noticed that I cannot hear anymore anybody when they call or when I call. They can her me but I can’t hear. I tried use voip.freephoneline.ca, with the same result. I called other friends with freephoneline and the same issue.

I tried the softphone that you have and with that one works. I don’t know what configuration you have there and why is working.

Anybody having the same issue???
How can be fixed?

It has been requested that you put in a support ticket for problems like this that have started over the last few days. You can find the links in my sig. They should be able to point you in the right direction fairly quickly.

Exact same issue as Imcjihu's. Just submitted a ticket.

Interesting thing is that the FPL still works fine with my other Fongo number on the iPad.

I have the same problem. Missed several important calls due to this.

I tried to restart modem, router and VoIP adapter, but this didn't help.
I submited the ticket today and sent a PM.

They should be able to get you going again. You could try powering down the ATA for 20 minutes or so, you may find this helps.

Juste, you are not alone. I started experiencing the same problem last Friday. I can place outbound calls, but since last Friday incoming calls just does not work for me. Months if not years ago I had this issue and had to point my registration to voip2.freephoneline.ca, but definitely something changed on that one last Friday. Same here, it does not make any difference to switch between voip.freephoneline.ca and voip2.freephoneline.ca.

I opened a ticket and Fongo Support helped me troubleshoot, but there must be something default on my box that does not like something on voip2 as replacing my side with a soft client makes the problem disappear. I see that in debug mode I am getting authentication sip messages, but this kind of sip troubleshooting goes beyond my knowledge. At this point I am hanging there.

one way voice issue

Postby thomvan » 02/23/2014

They can hear me, but I cannot hear them.

For a brief time, I could hear them but they could not hear me, but then it quickly reverted to the above.

I have had the same problem since at least yesterday.
Something must have changed on the part of FPL.
