Problems with dial-tones

Post by stangri »

I'm a paid customer and I'm having problems sending dial-tones while in call codes when sending call thru freephoneline.ca. How can I get in touch with someone who can help me troubleshoot this issue?

thanks!

We don't always support all the in-call codes that your ATA may provide since most of our features are handled server-side. Which codes are you trying to use?

I'm using asterisk and I believe it's set to use g279a on the outgoing call and dial tones do not seem to go thru. If I PM you my sip-login can you look into logs or help me troubleshoot this or it's not something you normally do?

Can you tell us a little more about your setup? like what ATA ,softphone you are using with asterisk. For example if you are using an ATA you should clear all Vertical Service Activation Codes that coincide with asterisk (freepbx). You want asterisk to handle them not the ATA.

Thanks!

I'm using sipdroid (android app) as a client. Not really sure what else I should add about my setup.

Thanks, that could be a reason although I could swear the dial tones worked last week and I didn't change anything.

Change the codec to G711 and DTMF mode to INBAND.
