[Oct 25 2010] Issues with incoming calls

Hi There!

When anyone calls my FPL #, the phone rings once and when answered I get dead air.

The caller gets a message that this call is not covered by the tariff plan!

What is going on?

Thanks,

Seems like a problem with your account, or with the inter-connections with the phone company specific of this caller. I suggest you contact FPL's support (email or phone) about this.

I did send an email on Saturday morning (8am)... haven't heard anything back as yet...

Can't call home from work - Your account balance is ...

2010.10.25 - 8:10 AM - noticed.

"your account balance is insufficiant to place your call to that destination."
I called from my work which uses a PRI through OneConnect
I called from my Telus cell phone.

I receive the notice both places.

I've remotely reset my ATA and it has successfully re-registered.

This looks like an FPL problem.

I just talked to a technical support staff @8:30A.M. today and he said that somebody had reported it already. Incoming calls to my paid 647-547-xxxx receive the error message that it does not have sufficient balance (it is an incoming call, mind you)! Calls to my ported 905-499-xxxx (formerly 289-632-xxxx) are working without problems.

Unable to make or recive calls using FPL

As of this morning I am unable to make or receive any calls even to local number (no long distance). Caller to my FPL # get the message that there is insufficient balance to place the call. I get same message if I try to call out using my FPL. I use Linksys ATA.
Has the free local service disappeared?

lately I was having issues with Voicemail, DTMF & now the whole phoe line.

Please advise
regards

Additional info:

My 647-547-xxxx does not in fact have any balance in the account.

My 905-499-xxxx has $4.65 balance in the account.

Both numbers are connected to the same ATA.

It does appear that accounts that do not have a balance get the error message.

your account balance is insufficient

Starting this morning, when I make a call from my FPL number or call my FPL number, it says to me " You account balance is insufficient to place the call to that destination."

I haven't changed any configuration. Any idea what's going on?

Thanks.

The same here from my number 647-547-xxxx.
No call out or call in. Both have insufficient fund issue even for local calls.
I try to use the FPL software to make calls also not working.
Hope it can be fixed in a short time.

Any word from FPL about this?

Do we have to load our accounts with something to allow calls to work now?

Hi,

Yes I have the same issue "incoming or outgoing" calls get the error message...

Both incoming and outgoing were giving the message that not sufficient funds in the account. I just purchased $5 worth of long distance and it fixed the problem.

I'm located in Ottawa.

When I try to call from my cell phone or vbuzzer got same message "you don't have sufficient funds in the account to place this call".Pretty cool, isn't it? Did anyone encountered this issue? Unfortunately I am stuck not being able to get into my ata setup yet, i will give some tries in afternoon.WHAT A HEADACHE!! :?
flomar, please be sure to read the titles of our sections - This is not a device configuration issue.

I love bandwagons, so I just called my home phone from the office.

It rang 5 times, then it goes FAST BUSY.

I called again: "This account is already in use. If you think this recording is an error, please contact your system administrator."

I called again, rang 5 times and FAST BUSY.

Now I'd like to point out that I have 4,40$ in my account from the previous voucher purchase.

I'm calling from within the same area code (514).

Oh my, this is going to be a harsh Monday for the FPL folks.

I'm having the same issues; this is concerning if someone does not have another phone (e.g., cell) and needs to make an emergency call since the issue also does not let me call out (same Insufficient funds message)

FPL, any idea if this will be resolved soon?

Thanks

Count me in the crowd suffering this issue. I have just talked with the FPL tech support, and I've been told they are working on the issue.

It'll be a crappy Monday for the people at FPL, indeed!

I have the same issue as of this morning when I tried to make a call. I have 2 lines with SIP configurations and both act the same.

The insufficent funds message to make the call and also...when someone calls one of the lines they get the same message.

I must assume there is a problem.

Thanks and hopefully matters are being looked at but prehaps...there should be something posted as an announcement.
