Funnily enough I got tripped up by this also.
I don't agree with it, but what can you do?

Yeah, I don’t like World Credits expiry policy with VoIP unlock key accounts either. Seems to me not having them expire should be a benefit of having a VoIP unlock key, but as you say, there’s nothing I can do about it.
